Thanks for the chicory root drink recipe. This will motivate me to get the ingredients and "do it." I've been caffeine-free from coffee and even some of my long-time cherished Asian teas. I also have read about the benefits of inulin and polyphenols. I'm at this moment waiting for my new polyphenol hot morning brew to cool *smiles". Again, thanks for your recipe and the motivation prompt. And. Good luck kicking the caffeine habit! (P.S. I've been caffeine-free totally foe about a year). \(*_*)/

I've been caffeine free for awhile now....I found my way back to chicory "coffee" after learning to love chicory coffee in Texas after a visit to new Orleans. The inulin-heavy aspect was a delightful surprise as it helps satiate appetite. I've dropped a few pounds because I'm rarely hungry when I drink chicory, which was a surprise benefit!
