The Knight of Swords is not wrong about everything. He is just wrong about that particular equation, and the cost of that specific misunderstanding is the thing his archetype has to teach.
Carl Jung identified a cluster of psychological tendencies he called the thinking type, which is the orientation toward the world that prioritizes analysis, logic, clarity, and the pursuit of truth as an end in itself, and that tends to experience the slower, messier, more emotionally complex dimensions of human experience as obstacles to understanding rather than as part of what needs to be understood.

What the Knight of Swords brings that is genuinely irreplaceable is the capacity to cut through confusion with a single clear stroke, to say the thing that everyone else in the room has been thinking but has been too afraid or too polite or too entangled in the emotional dynamics to articulate, to move through complexity at a speed that can genuinely change the terms of a situation before the situation has time to defend itself against the clarity he is bringing.
